We have lots of plans for things we plan on doing as time an money allows. We will also be improving the services planned for the in-person saddle fitting sessions.
We are currently developing a saddle pad that can be used for both treed and treeless saddles which will improve weight distribution, side to side and mounting stability as well as help with some fitting issues. Design is nearly complete and we are testing with various situations to determine when the pad will help and what issues it can help best. If you are interested in learning more or think you might have a horse/saddle that could help in the testing, please contact Marlene.
The biggest item on the plate (although a ways out there!) is a pressure and heat sensor pad that can be used while riding. It will not have the problems with shear forces that the other pressure pads on the market have and the data analysis will be much more sophisticated and and intuitive to use.
We currently plan on taking photographs for conformation analysis and have a nifty little program for analyzing various dimensions. Future plans entail working from video. Wouldn`t it be nice to get detail on how your horse moves after a shoing or with a different saddle?
Once we have some of the analysis devices we are developing or plan to purchase, we will include our services to really testing - in-depth - how well various products work. Do some saddle pads really keep your horse`s back cool? What happens when some foams get warm - do they still absorb shock? We`re looking for the questions that you want answered, so let us know if you have an idea!
