Venesza is 13 years old and really just coming into her prime as an endurance horse. She has a low resting heart rate and very fast recoveries. She could be a top 10 50 mile horse and could probably do 100`s. She has done NATRC and done fairly well (we`re not much into training for obstacles but she handles most things calmly). Her first NATRC before she was in shape, or under control, we galloped into a P&R at over 200 and she still recovered to 48 in 6 minutes. We`ve both learned a lot since then!

I rode her as an extreme novice to distance riding and my heavyweight husband has ridden her recently. She`s done 50`s in the past, but I only did NATRC and 25`s due to my lack of experience. This year she did more 25`s since my husband`s horse was injured and she was basically pulled off pasture. She was ready for 50`s mid summer but I was riding a green mustang so we stuck to LD.

Venesza is an amazing horse - almost everyone that sees her wants a baby from her if I ever bred her. She is a kick to ride and not for beginners nor those that want to race without regard for the horse. She takes care of herself, but she will go as far and as fast as you ask her. She can walk over 5mph and her extended trot is amazing. While she is very competitive, she will stay in whatever gait you ask.

She is 14.2 hands, with a broad short back. Her legs are clean. She is a gorgeous bay with a beautiful full mane and a sweet face.

I have too many horses right now and she has ended up not being ridden consistently. I would rather see her competing and taking someone as far as they want to go in endurance than sitting in our pasture. I got another horse as I had planned on breeding her, but now I`m a little nervous because of her age and it is just too expensive to breed and raise a baby.

We live west of Colorado Springs. Venesza is available for $4500 to a good home where she will be used for distance riding and not be kept in a stall. We can take you on some great trail rides to try her out (and have a place to stay if you are coming from long distance.)
